UCLA chaos shows no American is safe when radicals decide who gets rights and who gets silenced

The chaos at UCLA isn’t just targeting Jewish students—it’s attacking the basic rights of every American. The recent wave of antisemitism on campus is only the most obvious symptom of a much deeper sickness. When universities like UCLA let radical activists run wild, everyone’s freedoms are at risk. This isn’t about one group or one cause. It’s about whether we’re going to let mobs silence anyone who disagrees with them.

Liberals talk a big game about diversity and tolerance, but where was the concern when Jewish students were targeted and harassed? The so-called leaders at UCLA folded like cheap lawn chairs under pressure from the far-left. In their rush to appease professional agitators and anti-American activists, they tossed out the rulebook—and everyone’s rights with it. If the loudest group gets to decide who can speak, march, or even feel safe on campus, no one is safe.

Universities are supposed to be places of debate and open ideas, not lawlessness and intimidation. Instead, UCLA allowed shrieking mobs to take over. Administrators, terrified of being labeled “intolerant” by liberal elites or globalist donors, did nothing. They let leftist identity politics run the show. It turns out, when you give extremists a free pass, they won’t stop. Today they’re going after Jews, but tomorrow it could be Christians, conservatives, or anyone else who dares to disagree.

The hypocrisy is unbelievable. If any other minority faced this kind of hate, Hollywood would be flooding social media with hashtags and fundraising concerts. Celebrity activists would be out in full costume, demanding justice. But because the targets are Jews—and because antisemitism fits a certain political narrative—liberals look the other way. Their “social justice” charade is exposed. It’s not about protecting the vulnerable; it’s about picking winners and losers to suit their own twisted agenda.

America was built on the idea that everyone deserves equal protection, no matter who you are or what you believe. When universities betray that promise, they put all of us in danger. If the left gets to decide which rights matter and when, everyone loses. How much longer are we going to let cowardly administrators and radical activists destroy the values that made this country great?
