Wisconsin proves once again that it’s not immune to the madness gripping liberal America. This week, a state legislator is being dragged through the mud—and through the courts—all because of a disagreement over who deserves credit for a simple Hispanic heritage resolution. Let that sink in: instead of solving real problems for hard-working Wisconsinites, lawmakers are having a tantrum over symbolic gestures and then weaponizing the justice system to punish each other.
You’d think lawmakers have better things to do than squabble over who authored a pointless resolution. But in liberal America, it’s all about appearances and identity politics. No surprise that the political class cares more about who gets to pat themselves on the back than actually improving anyone’s life. What’s truly shocking is how quickly this childish feud spiraled into criminal charges. Instead of settling differences with debate like adults, prosecutors are piling on a misdemeanor charge for “disorderly conduct.” Translation: The Left can’t handle debate, so they call the cops when somebody raises their voice.
Maybe the real issue here isn’t the resolution—it’s the left-wing obsession with making everything about race, division, and virtue-signaling. Liberals love to preach unity, but every resolution turns into a contest for who loves “diversity” the most, while the real needs of actual Hispanic Americans are ignored. Meanwhile, the state’s priorities get lost in these petty stunts. Rural families, small business owners, and taxpayers should be furious that this is what their elected officials focus on.
Even worse, this is a glaring example of how liberal-controlled prosecutors waste public resources. A minor dust-up gets the same treatment as genuine crimes, just to make a political point. Is this really what the justice system is for—pandering to radical grievance politics? Or is it all part of the globalist agenda to keep Americans divided, distracted, and weak?
This mess isn’t just embarrassing. It’s proof that liberal leadership is broken. The question every voter should be asking: Who’s actually running Wisconsin—the people, or a band of power-hungry bureaucrats more interested in feelings than facts? At this rate, the only thing getting honored is incompetence.
