Once again, the liberal elites are bending over backwards to claim that any effort to safeguard our elections is somehow “racist.” Now they’re locked onto the SAVE Act—one of President Trump’s ideas to finally bring sanity and safety back to our voting system. The left’s talking points are the same tired lies: voter ID will “target minorities,” as if millions of Americans are too helpless or too dumb to get an ID.
But you know who sees right through this con? A black Republican from Texas just tore those arguments to shreds. She’s had enough of liberals pretending minorities can’t manage simple adult tasks. She isn’t buying into the soft bigotry of low expectations. Frankly, this attitude from the left is worse than insulting—it’s outright racist. They’re saying, loud and clear, that some Americans are too ignorant or lazy to secure an ID, just because of their skin color. If that’s not prejudice, what is?
Every legal American—black, white, Hispanic, Asian—can go out and get an ID. We do it for medicine, for traveling, for just about everything modern life requires. Why should voting, the sacred act that keeps this nation free, get treated like a joke? The only people threatened by voter ID laws are cheaters and those who rely on their votes.
Democrats cling to power by pretending to protect minorities while treating them like children. Globalist donors and left-wing politicians want chaos at the ballot box, not fairness. They know that requiring proof of citizenship means the end of their dead votes, fake voters, and fraudulent ballots. So they invent new ways to keep the system broken.
It takes real arrogance to say that minorities aren’t “educated enough” or capable enough to do what every American actually does every day. Maybe the left’s problem isn’t with voter ID laws, but with the American people themselves. Enough of the race-baiting. It’s time to restore some common sense—and some real respect for the voters this republic belongs to. Maybe liberals should stop looking down on America and start believing in it for once.
