California Democrats are at it again, turning a so-called “green” energy project into their own personal ATM—and a weapon for their political machine. This time, they’ve snatched nearly a billion dollars from money that was supposed to put solar panels on low-income apartment buildings. Instead of helping people with their energy bills and doing something real for the environment, the money went to pad the Left’s get-out-the-vote operations and activism disguised as charity.
Here’s how the scam works: Democrats in Sacramento push “climate” programs sold as helping minorities and poor families through green energy. Voters get guilt-tripped about polar bears and rising seas. Slick politicians rake in cash through gas taxes and electric bills—money squeezed from hard-working Californians. But instead of going to the actual solar projects, it’s funneled right back into a network of leftist groups. After years and almost a billion dollars “spent,” the solar program only finished a tiny fraction of the promised projects. So the question isn’t “where did the money go?” We all know the answer: directly to the Democratic Party’s back pockets.
This isn’t random incompetence—this is the California model. Promise the world, “save the planet,” then redirect public funds to prop up the Democrats’ political machine. It’s the same playbook we see everywhere: Create a crisis, demand drastic action, funnel taxpayer money to your cronies. While ordinary Californians scrape by in places plagued by crime and sky-high living costs, well-connected operatives are living large, all under the green banner.
If these Democrats really cared about climate change, maybe they’d show it in their own lives—skip the private jets and McMansions for once? Never. The virtue signaling is just a smokescreen. The real agenda is getting more power by any means: socialism with a fresh coat of eco-friendly paint. The so-called “climate movement” isn’t about clean air—it’s about cementing control and keeping leftists in charge forever.
Meanwhile, Republicans like Steve Hilton are finally asking the obvious: Why is nearly a billion missing? Where’s the accountability? Maybe because the swamp doesn’t want to answer. And if anyone is surprised by this grift, they haven’t been paying attention.
How much more cash will Californians let the Left steal in the name of “saving the planet”? That’s the real climate crisis.
