The fire spread, turning into the Palisades inferno, threatening homes, wildlife, and everyone’s safety.
This nightmare wasn’t caused by nature. It was caused by the kind of top-down, bureaucratic bungling so common in Democrat-run strongholds. Proudly progressive L.A. is more worried about virtue signaling than actually protecting taxpayers and their neighborhoods. The people in charge spend more time ticking off diversity checklists and chanting climate slogans than listening to actual boots-on-the-ground firefighters.
Let’s be honest, this is exactly what you get from a city obsessed with high-profile “equity” hires and carpet-bombing the rules with red tape. Actual courage and common sense get tossed aside. Here was someone raising a clear alarm—it’s not out, we can’t leave—and the person in charge waved them off. The left keeps telling us their “experts” and “leaders” know best. How many times do we have to pay for their mistakes with our safety and property?
It’s infuriating to watch Democrat city leaders turn every emergency into a circus of blame and denial. They’d rather point fingers at the weather or lecture us about going green than take a hard look in the mirror. Maybe if liberal officials showed a fraction of the guts our firefighters have, Palisades would be safe today and Angelenos wouldn’t have to live in fear every fire season.
This disaster wasn’t “just one mistake”—it’s the direct result of years of mismanagement and misplaced priorities from people more interested in political optics than doing their actual jobs. If this is what “progressive leadership” looks like, maybe it’s time Californians demand some real accountability instead of empty slogans and burned neighborhoods.
