Things are heating up on the other side of the world, but don’t expect the liberal media to mention how their “peace at any price” talking points are falling apart. Pakistan has just thrown out the old rulebook and launched what they’re calling an “open war” against the Taliban regime in Afghanistan. After years of pretending that terrorists are “freedom fighters” and letting lawless chaos fester next door, Pakistan’s government finally admitted what everyone on the Right tried to warn them: appeasing radicals will always end in bloodshed.
Over a hundred Taliban fighters have been wiped out after Pakistan decided enough was enough and pounded Afghanistan with airstrikes. If only the woke West had one ounce of that resolve! Instead, the so-called experts in our own State Department are wringing their hands, acting surprised that chaos breeds more chaos. Maybe it’s time they wake up—terrorists can’t be reasoned with, and trying gets people killed.
The woke crowd endlessly blamed America for every mess in the Middle East and South Asia, insisting that if we just “listened more” or pulled out, everything would be rosy. Well, look how that played out. The minute we gave up control, the Taliban stormed back, and now even Pakistan, a country that used to give sanctuary to extremist groups, is so sick of the violence that they’ve started bombing Kabul itself.
While the Biden administration chases its tail over climate change and gender pronouns, real enemies are arming themselves and tearing apart countries. Where is the outrage from progressives? Where are the Hollywood celebrities with their hashtags? Nowhere, because this story doesn’t fit their anti-American, anti-defense narrative. Meanwhile, innocent people pay the price when naive liberal policies crash headlong into the real world.
The bottom line: weakness invites aggression, and coddling extremists is a recipe for disaster. Pakistan’s about-face should be a wake-up call for every bureaucrat still clinging to wishful thinking. So here’s the question the Left never wants to answer: When will they finally learn that standing up to evil is the only path that keeps us safe?
