The Biden administration’s Justice Department is at it again. Now they’re suing for possession of yet another oil tanker snagged off Venezuela’s coast last year. That’s just one out of at least seven tankers our government has grabbed in the region. The left wants us to believe this is about “law and order,” but Americans aren’t buying it.
Let’s be honest. This isn’t about stopping criminals. It’s about flexing power overseas and inserting American bureaucracy where it doesn’t belong. The liberals claim to be all about human rights, but what are they really protecting? Not American gas prices, that’s for sure. While families pay more at the pump, the Biden team busies itself chasing tankers on the other side of the globe.
The hypocrisy is infuriating. Under President Trump, America produced oil like a powerhouse. We made deals that put Americans first. Now, the left fumbles foreign policy while pretending to be tough on “bad actors.” Meanwhile, their elitist allies keep pushing for green fantasies—leaving us more dependent on foreign oil, not less. No wonder bad actors like those running Venezuela get bolder every day.
Why chase oil tankers in South America, but block American drilling at home? Why sue over a single seized ship when our own refineries are grinding to a halt? It’s all about optics and virtue signaling for the globalist crowd in DC. The Biden Justice Department cares more about making headlines than helping hardworking Americans.
Maybe the answer is simple. Liberals are so obsessed with their anti-energy, anti-growth agenda that they’d rather fight on foreign fronts than unleash American energy at home. Isn’t it time we stopped playing global police and actually secured our own future again?
