Democrats shut down Homeland Security while Iran targets America in shocking political stunt

Democrat games with our national security have reached a new low. While American and Israeli forces are taking the fight straight to Iran—targeting nuclear sites, eliminating dangerous leaders, and keeping the world a little safer—the Left decided this was the perfect time to score cheap political points. How? By shutting down the Department of Homeland Security, the very agency tasked with keeping us safe here at home.

Don’t think for a second this was a surprise. The White House made it clear tensions with Iran were at a breaking point throughout February. President Trump warned what could happen if Iran kept provoking us. But instead of helping the country prepare, Democrats threw a temper tantrum. They shut down DHS over their endless obsession with open borders. Apparently, making it harder for law enforcement to stop illegals is more important to them than protecting Americans from terror attacks, especially now that we’re even more of a target.

Think about that: American troops are engaged in a major operation, and our shores could be at risk of reprisal attacks. Instead of working with Republicans to keep DHS open for a few more weeks—just two weeks!—the Left said no. All because they hate Trump and Border Patrol more than they love this country. Now, DHS workers are tasked with defending America with their hands tied behind their backs, operating with no funding, all thanks to liberal gamesmanship.

Are Democrats feeling any shame? Of course not. They’re already trying to cash in on their dangerous stunt, blasting out fundraising emails like nothing happened. Because for them, every crisis is about building their war chest and blaming conservatives, not actually fixing problems. It’s a tired routine that always puts globalist interests, radical activists, and illegal aliens ahead of the American people.

In the end, this is what happens when coastal elites would rather kneecap the president than guard our nation. They’d rather see the country suffer than admit a border wall works or that law enforcement deserves respect—not ridicule. Maybe one day voters will decide that enough is enough. But with this crowd in charge, America’s enemies are probably watching and laughing—and who could blame them?
