Iran’s so-called “resistance group” is making headlines—again. This time, they’re parading around a ten-point plan for the country’s future after strikes from the U.S. and Israel. On the surface, it’s the usual liberal wish list: endless talk about social freedoms, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and dreams of banning censorship. The left eats this stuff up, pretending it’ll fix everything. Meanwhile, the world keeps turning, and Iran’s radical regime stays in power.
Guess what’s included? The end of the death penalty. That’s right. In a country still hanging people in public squares, this group thinks just writing it down will end centuries of brutal executions. Liberals in the West are already celebrating, ignoring the fact that Iran’s hardliners aren’t exactly out of ideas—or bullets. And here we are, watching globalists drool over empty promises and “universal” principles, while the real courage it takes to stand for liberty gets lost in the process.
They promise to get rid of the agencies in charge of censorship—how convenient! But does anyone believe the ayatollahs and their thugs will peacefully hand over the keys because a resistance group asked nicely? Only an ivory-tower academic could be so clueless. It’s like watching someone wave a white flag and call it a revolution. Not to mention, Western liberals love to complain about “censorship” at home, but seem eager to trust Iran’s most ruthless leaders with reforms.
The real joke is this plan wants justice for those massacred by the regime over the years. That’s a tall order for a country where even whispering an opinion can put your life in danger. It all sounds noble, but talk is cheap, and the body count keeps rising. The resistance talks about rights, while Biden’s White House cuts deals with Tehran and turns a blind eye. Whose side are our leaders even on?
Maybe instead of worshiping empty declarations and naïve plans, the West should remember what real freedom looks like. Maybe leaders should stop buddying up to dictators and terror sponsors. And maybe, just maybe, it’s time for Washington to grow a spine instead of applauding every new globalist fantasy out of the Middle East. Does anyone really think another piece of paper will scare tyrants into submission?
