Top Democrat caught drunk at hearing while Americans struggle to get by

Democrats talk a big game about “democracy” and “public service,” but when the cameras are on and the public needs adult leadership, guess what? Their top brass can’t even sober up for a hearing. This week, Washington state’s House Majority Leader, Democrat Joe Fitzgibbon, humiliated himself and his party by showing up drunk to a vital hearing. You would think that—at the very least—the people running the show in Olympia could manage to stay clear-headed. But the left can’t help exposing just how little they respect the voters or their responsibilities.

While Americans are working two jobs to afford groceries and crushing gas bills, Democrat lawmakers are getting tanked on the taxpayers’ dime. These are the people the left wants us to trust with our schools, our border, and our freedom. It’s a slap in the face to every citizen who follows the rules and expects those in charge to do the same. The Democrats always want more control, more regulations, and more of your money, but apparently none of the self-discipline.

Just imagine what would happen if a conservative lawmaker showed up at a hearing reeking of booze. The mainstream press would be running wild, demanding resignations and trotting out the “threat to democracy” narrative. But when liberals mess up, it always gets swept under the rug with a weak apology and a pat on the back. The hypocrisy is as thick as ever. If the roles were reversed, this story would be headline news for weeks.

America is at a crossroads because of failed leadership like this. The left wants to remake this country in their own image—one where accountability only applies to their enemies, and where bad behavior is just a laughing matter as long as you’re on the “right side.” That’s not what real Americans want. We expect integrity. We expect honor. Most of all, we expect basic competence from the leaders paid with our hard-earned dollars.

So here’s the question: when will voters kick out these unserious, irresponsible liberals and return dignity to the offices they disgrace? Or are we supposed to just pour another drink and look the other way?
