Once again, weak American foreign policy has put our people in danger. News out of Karachi should be a wake-up call for anyone who still believes that appeasing Iran or turning a blind eye to anti-American sentiment will keep our citizens safe. Over the weekend, chaos erupted outside the U.S. consulate in one of Pakistan’s largest cities. Pro-Iran mobs—emboldened by years of globalist hand-wringing and hollow White House statements—decided to make America the target for their hate.
Nine people lost their lives as an angry crowd tried to storm the U.S. diplomatic post. The liberals love to blame these incidents on some vague “misunderstanding,” but this was nothing of the sort. These protesters knew exactly what they were doing. They came to attack a symbol of American strength, thinking they could get away with it. Why wouldn’t they? Too often, our enemies watch as the left makes excuses for anti-American violence, or worse, tries to negotiate with it.
It’s no accident that pro-Iran protests are flaring up in places like Pakistan. Iran has spent decades feeding its radical agenda across the Middle East and beyond. Yet the progressive elites in Washington keep pretending that “dialogue” and “diplomacy” will solve everything. How many more innocent people need to get injured or killed before liberals admit that their coddling of Iran and indifference to American lives isn’t working?
Let’s be absolutely clear: this wasn’t some “peaceful protest” gone wrong. This was a full-on attack, fueled by hatred of America and everything it stands for—freedom, prosperity, and a strong, independent nation. The globalist crowd wants us to sit down, shut up, and accept that this is the new normal for Americans overseas. Well, some of us aren’t so eager to roll over.
Maybe it’s time the folks in charge stop worrying about their next virtue-signaling speech and start caring about American lives. Radical mobs, backed by regimes like Iran, believe the United States is weak. They see empty talk, not real leadership. Is this what “America last” gets us—bloody streets and burning flags while our enemies laugh?
It’s past time our leaders put America first and show the world: if you attack us, you’ll regret it.
