They trip over themselves to write weepy, respectful obituaries about a monster who propped up terror, crushed innocent lives, and threatened freedom at every turn. Instead of telling the truth, they practically write a puff piece, swooning over his hobbies and his beard.

What’s next? Maybe a lifestyle feature about Bin Laden’s favorite goat cheese. The American press bends over backward to make these villains seem interesting, painting pictures of wise old men who loved novels and poetry—but they ignore the blood on their hands. These same writers refused to admit Khamenei was behind the crackdown on protesters or that he called the U.S. evil for years. He ruled Iran with an iron fist, silencing women, hanging teenagers, and bankrolling terror groups. They barely mention that. Instead, he gets treated like some misunderstood grandpa who just happened to hate the West.

This wasn’t a world leader trying to help his people. This was the man who stamped out hope and held the Middle East hostage for decades. He schemed against America, paid our enemies, and spit on our values. When President Trump wiped out Soleimani, the media sobbed and wrote the same apologies for evil. It’s always the same story—liberals jump to respect those who hate us, but trash anyone who stands up to them.

Of course, these left-wing writers go the extra mile to call Americans “chaotic” or “in decline,” parroting the same garbage dictators use to justify their crimes. They repeated Khamenei’s own hateful rants as if they were gospel, never stopping to remind readers of who he really was. Let that sink in—they care more about looking cultured than defending innocent people or standing up for democracy.

So here’s the truth the media won’t say: Good riddance to one of the world’s worst tyrants. The only tragedy is that the press still doesn’t have the guts to tell it like it is. When will liberals finally side with America and not her enemies? Don’t hold your breath.
