Why Is the Left Crying Over a Dictator The Bizarre Liberal Love Affair With Khamenei Exposed

The left just can’t help themselves. Around the world, liberals are falling all over each other to mourn the death of the Ayatollah Khamenei. Yes, that Ayatollah — the brutal dictator responsible for decades of suffering, murder, and oppression in Iran. Instead of calling him what he was—a monster—they’re tripping over their own glowing tributes. You have to wonder: what is wrong with these people?

While the Washington Post and other so-called “journalists” gush over Khamenei’s supposed love of poetry and his “easy smile,” reasonable people remember the tens of thousands of Iranians slaughtered under this man’s iron fist. Apparently, as long as you read a few Western novels and look jolly, liberals will treat you like a misunderstood artist instead of a blood-soaked tyrant.

Thankfully, there are still voices of reason out there willing to say what everyone with a functioning moral compass is thinking. Take Rita Panahi at Sky News Australia. Unlike the leftist media, she didn’t sugarcoat her feelings about the Ayatollah. In fact, she delivered a message in Persian that left absolutely zero doubt where she stood: no sympathy for evil men, no apologies for telling the truth.

It’s refreshing, isn’t it? While American and European “elites” practically weep at the prospect of missing Khamenei’s funeral, actual freedom lovers celebrate the end of a regime that crushed basic rights and dignity. Yet this is the same establishment that claims to champion human rights. The hypocrisy is so thick, you need a chainsaw to cut through it. They’ll keep whining about “Islamophobia” and “cultural understanding,” all while excusing a dictator who jailed, tortured, and executed his own people.

Here’s a question: why do so many on the left adore tyrants as long as they’re anti-West? Why do they swoon over anyone who hates America and our allies? Maybe they’re just allergic to standing up for real justice. Or maybe it’s just easier to bash democracy than to confront actual evil overseas.

Either way, good riddance to Khamenei. And shame on every liberal who pretends this is any kind of sad day for freedom anywhere.
