Why Netanyahu Had to Act Now and Why Liberal Weakness Could Cost Us Everything

There comes a moment in history when bold action is the only option left. Instead of hiding, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stepped forward—because waiting any longer to deal with the Iranian threat would have been a suicidal mistake. That’s just a reality that liberals and global elitists either ignore or outright deny, no matter how high the stakes for Israel—and the West.

Right now, with US and Israeli forces teaming up in Operation Epic Fury, we’re finally doing what weak-willed politicians and spineless bureaucrats refused to do for decades: stand up to the Islamic regime in Tehran. For years, leftist policymakers have bent over backward to coddle Iran, fawning over nuclear “deals” that handed the mullahs more power and money. In classic fashion, the left cared more about optics and appeasing so-called “international partners” than about national security, Israeli safety, or American interests.

Netanyahu gets it. He knows that if America and Israel don’t move fast and hard, Iran’s grip on the region will only tighten. The consequences would be catastrophic: more weapons in terrorist hands, more chaos, and the very real possibility of a nuclear-armed dictatorship calling the shots in the Middle East. Does anyone honestly believe another roundtable with career diplomats or another meaningless UN resolution would solve any of this? We all know the answer—just look where years of soft talk and empty threats got us.

It’s something no liberal will admit, but waiting until tomorrow isn’t an option when dealing with the world’s most dangerous troublemakers. The only thing that “restraint” brings is emboldened villains. While the Biden administration dithers and lectures about “de-escalation,” real leaders know force is sometimes the only language our enemies understand.

Maybe the left would rather send hashtags and feel-good speeches, but luckily, someone still understands what’s at stake. There’s no “next time” when it comes to stopping Iran—either we hit back now, or pay a nightmare price later. Are we really willing to let liberal cowardice pave the way for disaster?
