It’s another day in Washington, and the House just proved again that the political elites want to keep their dirty laundry locked up away from the American people. On Wednesday, lawmakers voted to bury a resolution that would’ve forced them to publicly reveal allegations of sexual misconduct within their own ranks. That’s right—while everyday Americans face real-life consequences for their actions, politicians in the Capitol get another pass.
This is classic liberal double-speak. These are the same folks always shouting about “accountability” and “transparency” when it comes to police, businesses, or their political rivals. But the moment a spotlight turns on their own misdeeds, suddenly the rules don’t apply. Democrats love to talk about rooting out “toxic masculinity” and “protecting women”—as long as it doesn’t come for them or their powerful friends.
What’s even scarier is how these same politicians want to keep the public in the dark. Why should the American taxpayer, who foots the bill for these politicians’ lavish lifestyles, be told to look the other way? If there are serious allegations of sexual misconduct in Congress, the country deserves to know. Why are they so desperate to hide it? What else are they hiding behind closed doors in Washington?
Let’s not forget, when accusations fly against conservatives, the left-wing media and their government buddies can’t wait to drag every detail into the open. But when the tables turn and it’s members of their own club under fire, the walls of secrecy go up fast. This is how powerful Democrats shield themselves and protect their buddies. The hypocrisy is jaw-dropping.
Americans should be furious. It’s clear that the political class cares more about protecting itself than about protecting victims or upholding real justice. How much longer will hardworking families accept these rigged rules from arrogant politicians? Maybe it’s time voters demand real transparency—and not just when it’s convenient for liberals.
