France is making headlines for finally showing some muscle, sending their massive aircraft carrier, the Charles de Gaulle, barreling toward the Middle East. Why now? It’s not because the French suddenly woke up to the world’s threats out of the kindness of President Macron’s heart. No, it’s because the region is on fire after Biden’s weak leadership let chaos break out between the United States, Israel, and Iran. Now, with Tehran lashing out and the world holding its breath, Macron wants to look like a tough guy on the global stage.
Let’s not pretend this is leadership. This is globalist window dressing at its best. For years, European elitists, especially in France, loved to scold America for “being too aggressive.” But as soon as the Middle East boils over—thanks to the Biden administration’s disastrous foreign policy—the French all of a sudden feel the urge to wheel out their shiny military hardware. It’s the same old story: smirk at American strength until you desperately need it to protect your own interests.
Of course, nobody in the White House seems ready to admit how we got here. Under President Trump, Iran didn’t dare provoke open conflict. Peace through strength actually meant something. The world took notice. Now, under Biden’s team of appeasers, America is no longer feared or respected, and our allies are scrambling to fill a vacuum of power. Even France is forced to get its act together, sending ships and troops because they don’t trust Washington to control the chaos.
One can’t help but wonder what the real motives are behind moves like these. Are the French truly committing to peace and order—or just worried sick their own energy supply and interests could be in danger if Iran keeps poking the West? These so-called international “partners” always talk a big game, but when the chips are down, they know only one thing keeps evil in check: American might, not soft liberal talk and empty promises.
So France dusts off its battleship, cruises into the Mediterranean, and tries to act like a guardian of world order. Too little, too late. Maybe next time, instead of fake posturing and globalist speeches, Western leaders should try something different—like listening to the kind of common-sense, America First policy that kept the peace in the first place. When will the left admit that strength, not surrender, is what truly keeps the world safe?
