“Diversity” in Math? That’s Just Failure by Design
Math isn’t about feelings or skin color. Two plus two equals four. That’s not a matter of opinion, identity, or “lived experience.” It doesn’t need to be “diversified.” It’s just math — the most basic tool every American needs to succeed in the real world. But the radical Left isn’t content with letting logic and facts reign. Instead, they’d rather tear down standards and call it “equity.”
Why do they do this? Because, to leftists, success is suspicious. High expectations are “oppressive.” If too many kids aren’t reading or solving equations, it can’t be the fault of broken liberal policies, lazy bureaucrats, or union-protected teachers. No, it has to be the fault of the standards themselves! So, liberals push nonsense like “diversifying mathematics,” pretending that basic truth is somehow a punishment instead of a path to prosperity.
Look at the facts: in places ruled by Democrats, student achievement has absolutely tanked. Public schools in blue states like Illinois and California are failing. In Chicago, barely a quarter of students can even read. There are schools there where literally not a single student is reading at grade level — even with a staff member for every child. That isn’t an accident. That’s a deliberate left-wing agenda, lowering the bar year after year, generation after generation, until nobody remembers what real excellence looks like.
Liberals love to talk about fighting racism, but their real plan is the “soft bigotry of low expectations.” They claim it’s caring to keep standards low for minorities, but what they’re really saying is those kids can’t succeed without handouts and lowered bars. That’s not compassion — that’s actual racism. And who are the loudest voices pushing this race-based garbage? Elite, mostly white, woke activists who believe men can get pregnant and biology is a social construct. Their solution for failure is always the same: blame the system, demand more government spending, and tell parents to sit down and shut up.
Meanwhile, red states—the punching bags of liberal media—are quietly raising the standards and actually getting results. Take Mississippi, where over half of students can read on grade level, blowing progressive utopias like California out of the water. Why? Because they know that learning isn’t racist. Math isn’t a tool of oppression. Reading isn’t optional. Standards are the key to the American dream, not a barrier to it.
This isn’t about helping anyone. It’s about creating a generation dependent on government — a permanent underclass politicians can control. Real cruelty isn’t expecting kids to master multiplication. It’s tricking them into believing that showing up is enough, that hard work and truth don’t matter, and that reality itself can be “diversified” away.
You cannot “equity” your way out of two plus two. Either we demand accountability, or we keep pumping out unprepared kids who can’t read a paycheck or make change at a register. Maybe that’s the real endgame for the globalist Left. An America where standards are the enemy, dependency is the goal, and mediocrity is the only thing they can deliver.
If the Left wants to say math is racist, maybe they’re just bad at it. The rest of us still know two plus two will always be four—and that’s the only foundation America needs.
