Liberals love to talk about “fairness,” but when it comes to electricity bills, their big tech buddies cash in while working families get the shaft. The latest mess? Some lawmakers tried to push laws forcing regulators to review whether EVERYDAY citizens are footing the bill for sky-high power costs at data centers. But of course, a House panel just put the brakes on it. Is anyone surprised?
Everyone knows those gigantic data centers eat up electricity like it’s candy on Halloween. They should pay for what they use. Instead, under our broken system, the average Joe may be covering part of the tab for billion-dollar tech companies. This is classic globalist nonsense—let regular, hardworking Americans shoulder the costs, while mega-corporations get sweetheart deals.
Why do liberals never ask the tough questions? If a single mom trying to light her home in rural America pays more for power because of some server farm out in the suburbs, that’s not progress—that’s robbery. Yet Democrats would rather bend over backward for Silicon Valley fat cats than defend the little guy.
The House panel’s decision to stall these bills is a slap in the face to anyone who cares about fairness. If the left really cared about the working class, they would demand transparency and force these data centers to pay their fair share. But they won’t. They’re too busy courting donations to their next campaign from woke tech giants.
It’s time to call this what it is: another episode of liberal hypocrisy. The elites get richer, the rest of us pick up the pieces, and politicians pretend to care. How much longer will Americans let high-powered data centers leech off their paychecks while our leaders stay silent? Maybe it’s time to unplug the real problem: out-of-touch politicians and their big tech cronies.
