Minnesota is making national headlines again, but not for anything good. While hardworking Americans are pinching pennies just to fill up the gas tank or buy groceries, millions—no, tens of billions—have been snatched right out from under their noses by rampant fraud in Minnesota. The craziest part? The masterminds behind these crimes are getting away scot-free, and the folks in charge want us to believe they’re somehow surprised.
Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison found themselves in hot water before Congress this week. Minnesota is the epicenter of a massive, jaw-dropping scam, with Somali fraudsters at the center of the storm. Instead of putting up any real fight, Walz looked clueless and out of his depth—like a substitute teacher caught cheating on his own homework. How could this mess spiral so far out of control on his watch? Maybe because he’s more focused on pushing “woke” buzzwords than actually governing.
Then came the question that sent Walz into a tailspin. South Carolina’s Rep. Nancy Mace dared to ask what most Americans would call basic common sense: What is a woman? Walz lost his cool. He couldn’t answer, and tried to play the victim. Meanwhile, Minnesotans are wondering why their leaders can’t answer simple questions while billions vanish into thin air. If you can’t define reality, how can you possibly define fraud or stop it?
This is the sad state of liberal leadership today. Instead of protecting American families and making our communities safe, these politicians are obsessed with identity games and protecting their own egos. They can’t keep taxpayer money out of the hands of scammers, but they sure know how to deflect tough questions. It’s obvious: the so-called progressive agenda is just smoke and mirrors to cover for their utter incompetence.
America deserves better than leaders who can’t—or won’t—stand up for the truth. If Walz can’t keep criminals in check, and he can’t answer a simple biological question, what’s he even doing in office? Maybe it’s time for Minnesota—and the country—to find leaders who aren’t afraid of the truth or basic logic. Are we really supposed to trust these folks with anything, let alone our hard-earned money?
