Socialism is running New York City into the ground—and now it’s cozying up to America’s number one adversary. Over the weekend, Mayor Zohran Mamdani attended a Lunar New Year’s bash hosted by a group deeply connected to the Chinese Communist Party. That’s right: the so-called “leader” of the Big Apple spent his Sunday celebrating with an organization advancing Beijing’s interests on U.S. soil. If there was any doubt where his loyalties lie, look no further than this stunning spectacle.
At this event, the national anthem of Communist China echoed through the room. People even sang about advancing boldly toward the enemy’s gunfire—a chilling message while China treats America as its biggest foe. In Mamdani’s world, this looks like just another cultural exchange. In reality, it’s music to the ears of our enemies, and a slap in the face to every patriotic New Yorker. This wasn’t a neutral party. It was political theater, propaganda straight from the CCP’s playbook.
The group behind the event, Better Chinatown USA (also known as the American Chinese Commerce Association), isn’t just a random community organization. It’s long been known as a tool for the Chinese Communist Party’s United Front—a strategy meant to influence, manipulate, and weaken opposition to Beijing’s goals. These are the same tactics Mao Zedong used to crush his opponents and seize control. Now, thanks to Mamdani’s naïveté—or worse, his approval—the United Front is parading through our city halls.
Let’s not forget Mamdani’s own agenda. He calls himself a socialist and claims even more government control will solve the city’s woes. But if his idea of governance includes celebrating regimes that crush dissent and silence critics, New Yorkers should be worried—and angry. This isn’t just tone-deaf; it’s dangerous. Does Mamdani even care that he’s helping an authoritarian regime spread its influence, or is he just blinded by the fantasy of socialist brotherhood?
This is what happens when liberals put ideology ahead of the country. While the average New Yorker struggles with crime, sky-high rents, and failing schools, Mamdani is too busy singing the praises of communism to notice—or maybe he just doesn’t care. As the city buckles under his socialist “leadership,” one has to wonder: how much further will he go to appease America’s enemies?
