Republican Congressman Tony Gonzales is now under the microscope, and the left-wing media can barely contain their glee. The new ethics investigation into claims of an affair with a staffer is just the latest excuse for Democrats to play judge and jury. Of course, they’re drooling over this. Now that there’s an allegation, every so-called journalist wants to act like scandals are unique to conservatives.
Let’s be honest. Washington, D.C. is teeming with corruption, deceit, and backroom deals. But notice how the liberal press only makes a blood sport out of Republican missteps. Meanwhile, liberal politicians get away with years of shady behavior. Remember Hunter Biden’s laptop? The endless “business trips” of the Biden family? The media slept through all of it. But if it’s a Republican, the outrage becomes deafening.
This case goes beyond politics. A woman is dead—her life cut short in a horrible tragedy. Instead of focusing on helping staffers and holding everyone to the same standard, progressives are giddy about taking down another conservative voice. It’s honest to wonder if the left even cares about real people anymore, or if they just see them as tools for their endless power grabs.
Globalists and bureaucrats pretend they’re the gatekeepers of morality, but look at how quickly they weaponize ethics committees. Their real goal? Silencing anyone who dares to fight for American values. They’d rather see conservatives driven out by rumors and innuendo than have an honest debate about the nation’s future.
Why is it, whenever a Republican faces accusations, the media pounces, but when the left is in trouble, it’s all “move along, nothing to see here”? Americans are tired of this double standard. Maybe it’s time to ask who actually sets the rules in D.C.—and who really gets to break them.
