The White House announced this week that massive companies like Google, Microsoft, Meta, Oracle, Elon Musk’s xAI, OpenAI, and Amazon have promised they’ll start picking up the tab for their own gigantic electricity costs.
For years, these woke corporations have been gorging themselves on cheap power while families everywhere face rising bills. Regular folks are forced to watch their wallets, but Big Tech greed knows no bounds. Liberals spent years lecturing us about “fairness” and “equity” — yet when it came to tech monopolies sucking up resources, those same politicians looked the other way. Not anymore.
With the “Ratepayer Protection Pledge,” Trump’s administration has flipped the script. No more hiding behind empty promises or letting power-hungry CEOs shove energy costs onto hardworking ratepayers. These elite firms will finally pay their own way, instead of dumping more pain onto Americans just trying to survive Bidenflation.
Let’s face it: Silicon Valley and its globalist investors couldn’t care less about everyday citizens. They’ve spent years bankrolling Democrats, censoring conservatives, and sending American jobs overseas. The left let them off the hook for everything. Now that Trump’s demanding accountability, suddenly they’re scrambling to look patriotic. Maybe they finally realize the days of unchecked handouts are over.
This is what genuine leadership looks like. For all their talk, liberals have never dared demand anything from their Big Tech buddies. Trump just pulled off what the left couldn’t, or wouldn’t, even try. It’s about time these overgrown monopolies stopped leeching off the rest of us.
Why did it take a conservative president to finally stand up for hard-working Americans? Maybe because the left never really cared in the first place.
