Abigail Spanberger’s short reign as Virginia’s governor keeps finding new lows, but her latest disaster is one for the record books. The facts are as plain as day: an illegal alien, with more than 40 previous charges and a rap sheet that would make even the softest liberal lawmaker uneasy, murdered an innocent mother at a Fairfax bus stop. Police told the county prosecutor—loud and clear—that this ticking time bomb would strike again if let loose. Yet here we are, witnessing the result of open-borders madness and total Democrat incompetence.
Steve Descano, the local prosecutor, didn’t just drop the ball—he threw it away. Despite warnings from law enforcement, his office let Abdul Jalloh, a violent repeat offender, walk free time and time again. All the warning signs were there, even an urgent email from the police spelling out the danger. Instead of listening, Descano caved to the social justice mob, pushing catch-and-release policies straight from the progressive playbook. This is what “criminal justice reform” looks like in the real world—dead Americans, devastated families, and zero accountability.
But the disaster doesn’t stop with local officials. Gov. Spanberger is doubling down, making it nearly impossible for ICE to get their hands on dangerous illegal aliens like Jalloh. She wants federal agents to jump through endless hoops and judicial warrants—so many, in fact, that actually booting these criminals from our country could take centuries. Just what are these Democrats protecting—a criminal’s “rights,” or American lives? The answer is embarrassing for any rational citizen.
The hypocrisy is stunning. Democrats love to claim they stand with families, women, and the most vulnerable. But when it’s time to protect American moms from violent illegals, they fold. Even some in their own party are speaking out, knowing this kind of coddling is political suicide. Of course, Spanberger rode into office promising moderation, but every policy she pushes is a gift to criminal aliens and a slap in the face to hard-working Virginians. From higher taxes to backroom redistricting to business flight, she’s dismantling Virginia one radical agenda at a time.
Fairfax County and the entire Commonwealth deserve better than this dangerous experiment in woke lawlessness. How many more innocent Americans have to die before the left admits their sanctuary dreams are a nightmare? If Spanberger’s extreme agenda is allowed to continue, Virginians will pay the price—with their security, their prosperity, and now, with their lives. Is this the future anyone wants for America?
