Once again, the House has done the right thing by standing up for strong American leadership. Democrats tried their best to strip President Trump of his power as Commander in Chief, hoping to tie his hands when it comes to Iran. Their War Powers Resolution was nothing more than a cheap stunt to score points with their radical base and globalist donors, and thankfully it failed. When will the left stop playing games with national security?
Liberals seem to think the United States should apologize for every move we make on the world stage. They hate it when our President acts boldly, especially with hostile regimes like Iran. They claim they’re standing up for “checks and balances.” In reality, they’re protecting a regime that chants “Death to America” and funds terror across the globe. Maybe it’s easier for some lawmakers in D.C. to side with faraway dictators than with the American families who expect safety and strength from their government.
Let’s be real: the only thing Democrats can unify around is hating Trump. When President Trump takes decisive action to keep this country safe, they scream about war powers and pretend they care about the Constitution. Where were these patriots when Barack Obama bombed Libya into chaos with barely a whisper? The hypocrisy is laughable, and Americans see right through it.
The fact is, America needs a president who’s not afraid to take swift, direct action. Iran’s mullahs only understand strength—not endless negotiations, endless cash pallets on secret flights, or groveling at the feet of our enemies. Trump’s willingness to strike back shows our nation will not be bullied. Weakness only invites more aggression. Allowing Congress to micromanage every military decision is a recipe for disaster—and our adversaries know it.
The left will never admit it, but a strong president makes the world safer. The House defeat of this anti-Trump, anti-American War Powers Resolution proves Congress isn’t buying the liberal playbook anymore. Maybe it’s time Democrats stop helping our enemies and start rooting for America to win for once. Is that really too much to ask?
