Watching Cornyn pour money into this costly Texas runoff is a perfect snapshot of everything broken in our political system. Why does he fight so hard to stay in power? It’s not to shake up the status quo—it’s to protect it. Career politicians cling to their Senate seats like children clutching a security blanket. They talk the conservative talk at home, then cozy up to globalists and liberals in Washington. It’s all talk, no backbone.
Every dollar wasted on this race is proof that America needs term limits—and fast. No one was meant to become a permanent fixture in the halls of Congress. The Founders never imagined arrogant politicians would burrow into office year after year, doing little except burn taxpayer money on re-election schemes. But that’s exactly what’s happened. The Cornyns of this world spend millions trying to convince us they’re indispensable, but all they’ve really done is play the political game until their faces fade into the wallpaper.
Texans are sick and tired of the establishment. While Cornyn and his buddies parade around D.C. pretending to be conservative warriors, the real battles—protecting the border, fighting runaway inflation, resisting the globalist takeover—are left to rot. If this endless, expensive runoff isn’t reason enough to demand term limits, what is? How many decades do we have to watch the same old faces rubber-stamp bad deals and kowtow to lobbyists before we decide enough is enough? Maybe it’s time to clear out the old guard and let real conservatives take charge. If John Cornyn hasn’t done it in four terms, why would a fifth magically be any different?
