Washington, D.C. just got a jolt of adrenaline. President Trump is shaking things up at the Department of Homeland Security, and about time, too. The American people have been begging for someone with guts to secure our border and defend our way of life. Now, Trump’s tapped Senator Markwayne Mullin, a tough Oklahoma conservative, to take the reins. No more business as usual at DHS—finally, someone who actually knows how to get things done is in charge.
It’s no secret the left has been asleep at the wheel when it comes to our national security. Democrats love open borders, endless bureaucracy, and excuses for their own failures. We’ve watched one weak Homeland Security leader after another fold to globalist demands and hand-wringing from the media. Washington insiders always said nothing could be done. The border’s a mess? Sorry, no answers. Drugs pouring in? Not our fault. Terrorists on the loose? Let’s not offend anyone. Americans are sick of excuses and even sicker of politicians who care more about woke talking points than American safety.
Swapping out Kristi Noem isn’t about personality, it’s about priorities. Noem moving on to represent our interests as Special Envoy is smart strategy from Trump—putting fighters exactly where they’re needed. With Mullin stepping up at Homeland Security, it’s a signal that the days of pandering to liberals and playing footsie with the United Nations are over. Finally, someone who will call it like it is and actually do the hard work to shut down illegal immigration and keep criminals out.
You ought to love how the media tried cornering Mullin in D.C., hoping to catch him off guard. You could practically hear the disappointment in their voices when he stood tall, ready to serve. Liberal journalists hate it when a patriot doesn’t flinch. They want scared politicians, not fighters. Well, they’re about to get a wake-up call.
Every American who’s tired of lawlessness, tired of our flag being trampled by globalist elites, should see this as a step in the right direction. Trump isn’t afraid to make bold moves, even if it sends the left into hysterics. The real question is: Why did it take so long for someone to actually care about protecting America? Maybe with leaders like Mullin front and center, we’ll finally remind Washington who they work for.
