Sunny Hostin just can’t help herself. Every time there’s a chance to bash President Trump—even when it means defending one of the most corrupt regimes on earth—she takes it, facts be damned. Apparently, the one thing more important to the liberal hosts of The View than American lives is their endless opposition to anything Trump does, even if it means twisting herself into knots on national TV.
Let’s look at the fantasy-land Hostin is living in. She claims it’s somehow “illegal” and “unconstitutional” for President Trump to take decisive action against Iran’s terror machine. Has she missed the last few decades of American history? Presidents from Reagan to Obama have launched military actions without Congress declaring war. Congress handed over this power ages ago. But now that it’s Trump taking action, suddenly the liberal outrage machine snaps back to life, screaming about kings and dictators. Funny how the left had nothing to say when Obama bombed Libya—then it was all perfectly legal, because someone in the Justice Department stamped it with approval. Now, when Trump acts to protect Americans, the goalposts shift once again.
Even more revealing was when Hostin admitted she’s not happy about getting rid of the Iranian regime. She tried to dodge questions about her inconsistency by hiding behind lawyer-speak, but the facts are clear: When Trump puts America first, the left immediately rushes to side with our enemies. It would almost be comical if it weren’t so dangerous.
Liberals like Hostin can’t bring themselves to support a president who actually stands up to a terror state. These leftists have so much hatred for Trump, they’d rather see the world burn than admit he’s doing something right. Hostin and her pals would probably complain if Trump walked on water—he’d be accused of polluting the lake.
The reality is, career military leaders—the people who actually understand the risks—supported action. They’ve seen the dangers of ignoring Iran’s aggression for decades. But according to the left, the real villain is always the American president, never the ruthless dictators holding the world hostage.
Whatever happened to caring about American safety? Or is that too much to expect from people who can’t stand the idea of winning—no matter who pays the price?
