The truth about the United Kingdom’s behavior during Operation Epic Fury ought to infuriate every American patriot. When our troops sprang into action against Iran—a regime that slaughters its own and shouts “Death to America”—we assumed our so-called “allies” would have our backs. But what did the United Kingdom and other European NATO countries actually do? They slammed the door shut, refusing even basic support and denying the use of their military bases.

Let’s not dance around the issue: this is what happens when weak, liberal governments are more concerned about upsetting global elites than standing shoulder-to-shoulder with America. Are these the same European politicians who lecture us about “unity”? The same ones who demand American blood, money, and power to defend the continent, but cower the minute there’s real danger? Apparently, “ally” means finger-wagging from across the pond, but when the bullets fly, they’d rather cozy up to despots in Tehran.

It’s not just cowardice. This is anti-American bias, plain and simple. When it actually mattered, some of these NATO members did more than just say “no.” They quietly cheered on the anti-American side—offering the Iranian regime a wink and a nod of approval. That’s not just betrayal. That’s a slap in the face to every U.S. service member risking their life overseas.

The left loves to scream about American “imperialism” and “endless wars,” but notice how quickly they forget who keeps them safe. Liberal incompetence is on full display here. These globalists would rather sell out their oldest ally than risk a strongly-worded op-ed in the Guardian.

Ask yourself—if the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe can’t even provide the basics for America during a crisis, why are we footing the bill for NATO? Why should we keep treating these fair-weather friends like real partners, when they show us time and again just how much they take us for granted? Maybe it’s time America looks out for itself, and lets Europe find out how the world works without us holding their hand.
