Kristi Noem just learned the hard way: Homeland Security isn’t a place for self-obsessed politicians. President Trump showed real leadership by tossing her out, and conservatives everywhere should breathe a sigh of relief. Noem acted as if a critical cabinet position was just another stage for her own ambitions. That’s not what this country needs, especially now.
Americans want strong borders, not political drama. While liberals cry that booting Noem was unfair, they’re missing something big. We can’t afford anyone at Homeland Security who’s more interested in selfie opportunities than in securing the nation. The left has spent years turning national security into a circus, obsessed with feelings and globalist policies instead of actual safety.
Noem’s focus wasn’t on keeping American families safe from threats. Instead, she turned a tough government job into her personal spotlight. Try explaining that attitude to border towns struggling with illegal crossings and fentanyl pouring in daily. The last thing patriotic Americans want is another Washington insider treating the Department of Homeland Security like a reality TV set.
The good news? Donald Trump will not back down or play nice when it comes to protecting the country. That’s something liberals just can’t understand. They’d rather keep incompetent politicians around if it means scoring points for their global friends or keeping the D.C. bureaucracy fat and happy. But the days of weak leadership are over.
It’s about time we got serious and sent a message: Personal branding comes second, America comes first. If only the rest of Washington took notes. How many more self-absorbed grandstanders do we need to weed out before our institutions finally put the people first?
