Once again, the federal government drags its feet when it comes to doing the right thing for hardworking Americans. Anyone paying attention knows that tariffs imposed by President Trump served a clear purpose: to put America first, force hostile nations to play fair, and protect American jobs. Now, thanks to a court order, the government is supposed to start paying back up to $180 billion in tariff refunds. Yet, not a single dollar has made its way back to American businesses. Surprise, surprise—Washington can move lightning-fast to coddle illegal immigrants, but when it’s time to return cash to America’s own, there is suddenly endless delay.
Judge Richard Eaton, a senior judge from the U.S. Court of International Trade, made it simple. The government was told: pay back what you owe. What’s the holdup? Bureaucrats, globalists, and the D.C. swamp creatures always find a way to slow-walk anything that actually benefits American citizens and businesses. When it’s a package for Ukraine, or a payout to Big Government agencies, checks get cut overnight. But when President Trump’s America First policies throw a spotlight on just how much the elites have cheated the people, suddenly it’s a paperwork problem.
Let’s be clear about why Trump’s tariffs existed in the first place. They were designed to hold China and other bad actors accountable for years of economic abuse. For decades, politicians from both parties let China walk all over American workers, shipping jobs overseas and flooding the market with cheap garbage. Trump finally stood up to them—and now American businesses are waiting to recoup some of what was lost during those fights. But the same crowd that never misses a cocktail hour at Davos is quick to dig in their heels and make sure the refunds never reach the real economy.
Liberals never supported these tariffs. They worship at the altar of globalism and will take any chance to undermine an America First agenda. Now, faced with an order to pay back billions, their response is to stall, stonewall, and hope nobody notices. The hypocrisy could choke a horse—after all, it’s always about giving away America’s money to foreign nations, never about restoring it to the people who earned it. Meanwhile, families and small businesses are left hanging, waiting for the justice they were promised.
The court was clear. The order was clear. So what is Washington waiting for? Americans are owed that money, and the only thing standing in the way is the same old anti-Trump, anti-America machinery that’s been working overtime since 2016. Isn’t it time someone reminded these people that the government doesn’t get to play favorites with American prosperity? Or does “America Last” remain the real agenda for the bureaucrats running the show?
