Joe Biden just can’t help himself. At a memorial service meant to honor Rev. Jesse Jackson, the president hijacked the spotlight for his favorite topic—himself. Instead of paying true tribute to Jackson, Biden bizarrely decided to talk about his own stutter and dropped the mind-blowing claim that he’s smarter than most people in the room. You can’t make this stuff up.
It’s almost expected at this point. While Americans are struggling with soaring prices and chaos at the border, the so-called leader of the free world is busy fishing for sympathy and bragging about his brainpower. Never mind actual results—liberals are perfectly happy clapping for empty words and made-up credentials. The country gets weaker by the day, but Biden wants everyone to know he’s apparently a genius with a stutter. That’s supposed to make us all feel better?
Instead of focusing on the important legacy of Rev. Jackson or the critical issues facing the black community, Biden made it about himself. That’s classic left-wing narcissism. Democrats pretend to care about “unity,” but at every turn, they prove their real agenda is self-praise and virtue signaling. They love to talk about celebrating “diversity” and “justice,” but they can’t go five minutes without turning everything into a campaign speech.
Americans are sick and tired of watching Biden put his own ego before the nation’s needs. His defenders in the media will, of course, bend over backwards to turn this into a moment of courage or humility. In reality, it’s just another example of how out of touch this administration is with everyday Americans. Regular people care about results, not speeches and self-congratulations.
Maybe next time Biden gives a eulogy, he can try to focus on someone other than himself for once. Is it any wonder so many people are questioning his leadership, his priorities, and his competence? The country doesn’t need another self-important politician telling us how smart he is—we need a real leader who actually puts America first.
