Last night, Bill Maher did something that’s supposed to be impossible on left-wing cable TV: he utterly exposed Adam Schiff and Don Lemon as the clueless hacks they are. Watching these two try to defend their favorite Democrat talking points was like watching a couple of first-year debaters stumble over a spelling bee. Maher didn’t even seem to be trying to make them look bad—Schiff and Lemon did that all on their own.
Take Iran, for example. Schiff puffed up, ready to slam vague presidential “war powers.” But Maher set him up and knocked him down without breaking a sweat—turns out those “vague” statements Schiff hated so much came right from the Obama administration. Schiff, exposed on live TV, seemed totally lost. Yet this is the guy the left parades as one of their “big brains”? No wonder foreign policy is in shambles under their watch.
Then there’s Don Lemon, who actually tried to pretend Democrats’ childish antics at the State of the Union don’t matter. Lemon insisted nobody would remember their rudeness come election time. Maher—again, the supposed liberal on the panel—had to be the one to remind him that, yes, it’ll be remembered, especially when Republicans put it all in campaign ads. Lemon looked genuinely confused, like nobody ever told him actions have consequences. It’s typical elitist denial: when liberals make fools of themselves, they pretend the American people won’t notice.
And let’s not forget how out-of-touch Lemon is on the economy. He openly struggled to grasp why wealth taxes are bad for America—probably because he’s used to CNN’s echo chamber instead of reality. Schiff tried to claim Democrats are “standing up to Trump.” Maher could barely even listen; Trump remains the most dominant political figure of our era, and it drives the left mad. These two can’t accept that Trump’s ideas aren’t just here to stay—they’re exactly what millions of fed-up Americans want.
When a comedian has to bring basic common sense to a table full of Democrat spin, you know the party of Schiff and Lemon is in deep, deep trouble. How many more times do we need to see liberals like this crash and burn before the media stops pretending these people are actually competent? Or will they keep pushing this fantasy forever, while America pays the price?
