It took four long years, but Congress finally snuck in a plaque at the Capitol to “commemorate” Jan. 6. Not with any ceremony or pride—no, they slid it in quietly, hoping nobody would notice. Apparently, this is the grand response from the people who claim Jan. 6 was the “worst day in history.” Yet the only thing worse than their obsession is their own incompetence.
Let’s be honest. This plaque isn’t about honoring brave officers. It’s about keeping the narrative alive—the same tired story the left loves to use against conservatives. If they really cared about law enforcement, they would have stood by the police through years of violent riots in Portland, Minneapolis, or New York. Instead, socialists and globalists sat on their hands—or cheered on the chaos. Suddenly they pretend to care, but only when it’s convenient to bash Trump supporters.
Three years of delays show exactly how seriously Congress takes its own showboating. Lawmakers approved a memorial all the way back in 2021, but then let it gather dust while they drummed up more anti-MAGA drama. They want us to believe they’re defending democracy, but they can’t even install a plaque on time. They have endless time for “January 6 committees” and primetime hearings—just no time for real solutions to the border, crime, or inflation.
Even the placement itself reeks of weakness. No bold dedication, no attention. Liberals want it both ways: rage about “insurrection” for cameras, but hush up the evidence of their gamesmanship. Maybe they’re worried Americans will remember how they abandoned law enforcement in every other crisis. Maybe, deep down, they know Jan. 6 doesn’t fit their twisted script anymore.
So, why the sudden attention now—almost four years late? Could it be a desperate attempt to reheat an old distraction with another election on the horizon? The hypocrisy stinks. That plaque is not a symbol of respect. It’s a reminder that Congress would rather point fingers than fix anything broken in this country. When will they stop exploiting a single day, and start defending the nation they’re supposed to serve?
