When terror struck Israel on October 7, the world watched in horror as Hamas militants brutally hunted down innocent civilians. Yet, even as families mourned and children cowered in fear, some leftists online were busy sharing and celebrating the carnage. It’s disgraceful enough that these radicals exist—but what’s worse is when their twisted cheerleading creeps right into the homes of our so-called leaders.
Take New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani. He made a big show of condemning anyone who dared to “make light” of the bloodshed. But behind closed doors, something rotten was brewing. His very own wife was busy gleefully clicking “like” on social media posts that praised and supported the slaughter. Is this what passes for compassion in progressive circles? Talk about saying one thing and doing another.
It’s the kind of hypocrisy that’s become all too common among the liberal elite. They pretend to care about safety and human rights—when cameras are rolling. When the world’s not watching, their real loyalties show. If they can’t even keep their own households from siding with terror, how can we trust them to protect American values or our allies?
This isn’t just about bad taste on social media. Our leaders and their families send a message with everything they do. When someone so close to a city’s highest office openly supports hate, it emboldens extremists and globalists who already want to see America weak and divided. It chips away at the moral backbone that once made this country strong.
If Mamdani can’t keep his own family from siding with terrorists online, maybe he—and the rest of the anti-American left—should spend less time lecturing us and more time looking in the mirror. When did standing with victims become less fashionable than supporting their killers? Are these the “values” Democrats want leading America’s cities?
