There’s something happening in California that the liberal sports elites don’t want you to notice. While the big networks shove politics down our throats and try to turn every game into a lecture, these young women on the court and the field are reminding everyone why Americans fell in love with sports in the first place.
Just look at the way these UCLA athletes play. They’re out there smiling, sweating, supporting each other, and showing true grace under pressure. They’re not kneeling during anthems or talking about so-called “systemic oppression.” They’re reaching for greatness and making it look good—exactly the way sports should be. All those woke athletic departments desperate for “equity” and “inclusion” should take notes. We don’t need handouts or participation trophies. We need athletes who strive for victory and bring out the best in each other.
It’s no surprise that these women have become role models. Kids—girls and boys alike—finally have people to look up to, not because of their identity boxes but because of what they achieve. UCLA’s women aren’t just playing for themselves; they’re bringing their teammates and even the fans into the experience. There’s a genuine sense of team spirit, not this phony collectivism the left is always pushing. These women understand what’s at stake and what it really means to be part of something bigger.
Meanwhile, the liberal establishment keeps pushing distractions—the kind of nonsense that ruins locker rooms and divides fans. Look at the confusion created by letting biological men take over women’s sports. It’s chaos and everyone knows it, but most people are too afraid to speak up. UCLA’s athletes keep things simple and honest: Women compete against women, and the competition is fierce, proud, and joyful. That’s what real progress looks like, not the circus put on by the radical gender ideologues.
If more schools followed UCLA’s lead, maybe American sports could finally shake off the activist nonsense and get back to what matters—heart, hustle, and good old-fashioned fun. The country is hungry for winners we can actually root for. Isn’t it about time the rest of the sports world stopped pandering to loudmouth activists and just let the athletes play?
