An explosion rocked the entrance of the United States embassy in Oslo, Norway, early Sunday morning—and liberals everywhere are scrambling to call it an “isolated incident.” The damage is real. Officials are already calling it likely the work of an explosive device. Let’s drop the sugarcoating: when there’s a bang at a U.S. embassy on foreign soil, it should set off alarm bells from DC to Main Street.
But don’t hold your breath waiting for the usual suspects in the Biden administration to treat this for what it is—an attack on America itself. The left is always too eager to downplay any threat facing our country, preferring to blame random “security situations” instead of admitting what everyone else can see: America is under siege abroad, because enemies know our leaders are weak.
While authorities in Norway tiptoe around the facts, ordinary citizens everywhere know better. The world is getting more dangerous, not less. And while globalists blabber about “international solidarity,” it’s American offices, embassies, and citizens who wind up paying the price for this clueless, soft approach.
Every time Americans are targeted, whether at home or around the world, liberals dismiss it as an anomaly, or worse, suggest we “had it coming.” They love to virtue-signal about being “global citizens,” but where is their outrage when our people are put at risk? The silence is deafening—unless they can leverage it for a new lecture about “tolerance” or “cultural understanding.”
Real leadership means standing up for Americans everywhere, not apologizing for our presence on the world stage. As embassy walls are blown open, are the Biden crowd and their European enablers willing to admit the obvious? Or will they just keep pretending that “woke” slogans keep anyone safe? The world gets bolder when America gets weaker. It’s time to ask ourselves: how many warnings do we need before we start acting like the superpower we are?
