California politicians just can’t help themselves. Once again, we’re watching another so-called “conservative” run for the hills the minute things get tough. Rep. Kevin Kiley, who voters trusted to defend real Republican values, just ditched the GOP to become an “independent.” Why? Because California’s radical left-wing redistricting changed the lines and now he thinks he can get more votes by ditching his party.
Let’s not kid ourselves here. This isn’t nuanced “political strategy.” This is a cowardly sellout. Instead of standing up strong against the liberal takeover in California, Kiley chose the path of least resistance. He abandoned his base because he’s scared of being too closely tied to the conservative brand that actually stands for freedom, secure borders, and the Constitution.
It’s no surprise, really. California Democrats have been rigging the game for years with shameless gerrymandering. They’re desperate to choke out what’s left of conservative voices in the state. But when Republicans start running scared and checking out, all it does is hand more power to the liberal crooks running Sacramento. Kiley can dress up his decision however he wants, but it smells a lot like surrender to the left’s dirty tricks.
The fact is, going “independent” is just code for sitting in the middle, pleasing nobody, and hoping the media cuts you some slack. But the media and the Democrats won’t stop until every red district in California is wiped off the map. Kiley’s cowardice doesn’t hurt the establishment—they cheer, because now there’s one less fighter willing to call them out for their corruption and incompetence.
Conservatives in California don’t need politicians who run at the first sign of danger. They need warriors—leaders who will take the heat and fight back against the leftist agenda. The more Republicans who abandon their post, the more power globalists and radical insiders gain. So the real question is, how much more betrayal are voters supposed to swallow before we see some real backbone in our so-called “representatives?”
