This weekend’s chaos outside Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s residence shows exactly what happens when leftist politicians coddle the radical fringe and act like domestic terrorism only fits their political narrative when it’s convenient. A conservative social media figure dared to hold an anti-Islam rally near Gracie Mansion. Suddenly, counterprotesters start lobbing explosive devices—packed with nuts, bolts, and screws—endangering police, bystanders, and everyone in the area. One would think the woke media would sound the alarm over a potential terrorist attack in our own backyard. Instead, the left is too busy blaming “hate speech” rather than actual acts of violence.
After the smoke cleared, the FBI raided the Pennsylvania homes of two young men tied to the attack. We’re talking about 18- and 19-year-old suspects getting swept up in a terrorism investigation after reportedly launching improvised bombs at a crowd. The devices weren’t just some firecrackers—they were real threats, capable of maiming or killing, tossed in broad daylight because the mob didn’t like someone else’s opinions. And let’s be clear: police say one of these radicals even wanted his attack to top the death toll of the Boston Marathon bombing. Still think hate is only found in “right-wing extremism”? The hypocrisy is staggering.
Predictably, left-leaning officials and their allies in the media are tying themselves in knots, scrambling to blame “provocative rhetoric” for the violence. One person uses pepper spray? The other side throws bombs. But the left wants to blame both sides equally—because the last thing they want is to admit that tolerating and excusing radical counterprotesters can lead to real terror right on American soil.
