Iran is showing the world, once again, what happens when evil rules unchecked. The country’s brutal regime just got a new leader—but don’t expect any hope for the Iranian people. The notorious Ayatollah Khamenei is out, and now his own son is running the show. This is not a surprise. Tyrants tend to keep power in the family. The only thing more shocking than this shameless handover is how the mainstream media and global elites barely seem to care.
It’s clear that this so-called “succession” is just another chapter in Iran’s bloody history. The late Supreme Leader ruled with an iron fist, fueling terrorism, oppressing his citizens, and chanting “Death to America” whenever he could. Now his son stands ready to continue the legacy. This is what liberals and globalist apologists call “stability.” Give us a break.
Where is the outrage from the so-called human rights crowd? The same liberals who cry out about “democracy” anywhere else in the world suddenly lose their voice when it comes to Iran. They’re too busy blaming the West and America for every problem imaginable. Meanwhile, real people—the women, the minorities, the freedom lovers in Iran—face another generation under the boot of radical Islamist rule.
America can’t afford to turn a blind eye while our enemies pass the baton from father to son. We saw what happened under Barack Obama’s pathetic nuclear deal and Joe Biden’s weak policies. Appeasement only makes these thugs bolder. Our enemies are laughing while the left dithers about “diplomacy” and lectures us on tolerance.
Another Khamenei in power is nothing to celebrate. For the sake of the thousands who have suffered under this regime, and for the security of the U.S. and our allies, it’s time to wake up. How many more tyrants have to inherit power before the world realizes that evil doesn’t magically get better when it changes its face?
