All they wanted to do was show a little backbone, and the regime came down on them like a hammer. The left shrugs, but President Trump isn’t willing to look the other way.
Trump didn’t waste a second. He got on the phone with Australia’s Prime Minister, making it perfectly clear that standing up for these oppressed athletes is what real leadership looks like. While Biden’s White House stays silent, pretending human rights violations are none of our business, Trump actually steps up and demands answers. That’s the America-first attitude we need—supporting liberty wherever it’s under attack.
These Iranian women knew the risks. In Iran, daring to have an opinion or standing up to the government means jail, or worse. Where is the outrage from liberals who claim to champion women’s rights? Nowhere. The same people who march in the streets wearing pink hats don’t say a word when real tyranny shows up in other countries. Hypocrisy at its finest.
But globalists and the woke elite would rather scold Americans for supposed “intolerance” than confront actual evil. They care more about pronouns and “safe spaces” than about women getting locked up for peaceful protest. Iran’s regime cracks down, and the left yawns. Maybe if these brave athletes started demanding drag shows on the soccer field, then the media would notice.
When Trump praises Australia’s leader for taking his call—and raises the issue of basic human rights—it’s a reminder of what tough, bold diplomacy looks like.
