Senate Majority Leader John Thune just threw cold water on what could have been the most important legislation for our country—something conservatives have been begging for: the SAVE America Act. With all eyes on the Senate to deliver real change, Thune decided to play the tired D.C. insider game—telling the country not to get its hopes up about the bill’s chances. And just like that, he might as well have sided with the liberal elites who would rather see America decline than fight for it.
Conservatives all over the country aren’t just disappointed—they’re furious. We’re sick of Republican “leaders” preaching about saving America during campaign season, only to cave when it matters most. The base wants real action. Instead, we get Beltway double-talk from the very people who are supposed to be leading the charge. Has Thune forgotten who elected him? Or does he just not care that Americans are drowning in the mess left by radical progressives and their reckless policies?
Washington’s swamp creatures—left and right—love to pat themselves on the back while Rome burns. When the SAVE America Act could actually stand up for ordinary citizens, we get hand-waving and excuses. Maybe that’s because the bill strikes at the heart of the globalist agenda: it protects our borders, strengthens our economy, and puts American families first. No wonder the chattering class wants to make sure it never sees the light of day.
Liberals are loving this, of course. Every time a so-called Republican leader bucks their own party, the left cheers. Let’s be honest—too many in the GOP are desperate for approval from big media and cocktail party insiders. Instead of standing with Americans who are begging for relief from Biden’s failures, these politicians would rather blend in with the D.C. crowd.
The real question: who does John Thune really work for—the American people, or the D.C. establishment? Conservatives know the answer. And they’re done waiting for weak-kneed Republicans to find a backbone. When our leaders echo defeat, it’s time to remind them: America didn’t win by giving up.
