Iran Stockpiled Weapons-Grade Uranium. Liberals Looked the Other Way.
It’s official. Iran was sitting on a mountain of weapons-grade uranium, and the left just shrugged. This regime wasn’t enriching uranium for “peaceful energy” or “medical use.” Let’s drop the charade. Iran stacked up 460 kilograms of material enriched to 60 percent — a hair’s breadth from the threshold for a bomb. Any honest observer knows there’s no legitimate civilian reason for uranium that hot. It’s the clearest signal: Iran wasn’t playing around. They were preparing for war.
But that won’t stop Biden’s buddies and the legacy media from whining about “overreactions” and “diplomatic solutions.” These same liberal elites have been pretending for years that Iran isn’t really after a nuke. They ignored Iran’s nuclear tests, their secret enrichment plants, and their long, ugly record of lying to international watchdogs. Since 2003, Iran has run circles around limp-wristed Western negotiators, weaponizing uranium in the shadows while the so-called “deal-makers” patted themselves on the back. How much evidence does the left need before they admit they’ve been duped?
And let’s not forget the chorus of critics who love to dunk on American action. Last year, they claimed Trump’s administration was bluffing about destroying Iran’s nuclear program. Here’s the reality: While key Iranian sites took heavy hits, full denuclearization was never promised — because that would have meant boots on the ground. What the operation actually did was buy precious time, slow Iran’s race for the bomb, and force the mullahs back to the table. But as soon as Iran started flashing its uranium supply, it became crystal clear they weren’t really interested in peace.
Meanwhile, Iran had enough enriched uranium for eleven nuclear bombs and could have built a dirty bomb in record time. But the left acts like Iran is just misunderstood. Are these people naïve? Or do they just put their hatred for Trump above American safety? Iran came to negotiations with bad faith and nuclear materials in their pocket, hoping to win on sweet talk what they couldn’t win on the battlefield. Liberals still wanted to trust them. Only decisive leadership — not endless “dialogue” — finally called Iran’s bluff.
For years, America listened to politicians who preferred talk over action. Thank God that era is over. When you have a regime bragging about enough uranium to vaporize a city, what more proof do you need? The only thing more dangerous than Iran’s bomb is the leftist insistence on ignoring it. How many more times will liberals let radical regimes play them for fools?
