The stench of radical Islamic terror has once again reared its ugly head right in the heart of America. Recent news from the failed bombing plot in New York City proves just how close we came to disaster—and just how blind left-wing leaders continue to be about the threats we face. Two ISIS fanboys, both foreign nationals no less, not only tried to blow up innocent Americans protesting against Islamic extremism, but had stashed away even more explosives in Pennsylvania. They weren’t “lone wolves” with some silly, failed plan. These men were deliberate, motivated, and deadly serious.
While liberal politicians and their media lapdogs love to brush off these attacks as “isolated incidents” or “misunderstandings,” law enforcement just found multiple explosive devices in a storage unit linked to these terrorists. Police even had to use three separate controlled detonations because the stash was so dangerous. Let’s not forget, these fanatics pledged allegiance to ISIS. This isn’t some made-up threat or “Islamophobia.” It’s real, and it was nearly deadly—on American soil.
Here’s what should send chills down every freedom-loving American’s spine: the bombs these would-be killers built were just the beginning. One of the terrorists didn’t stop buying supplies even after the authorities launched Operation Epic Fury. He casually walked into a fireworks store and picked up a 20-foot roll of fuse, days after the operation began. What does that tell us? They were planning for more. And all the while, what was the left saying? They were either silent, distracted by their latest woke crusade, or too cowardly to admit that importing radical ideologies has consequences.
It’s infuriating to watch the same progressive activists, who insist on open borders and tolerance for “diverse viewpoints,” downplay or even ignore the ongoing jihadist threat in American cities. While they’re obsessed with pronouns and climate hysteria, actual terrorists are building bombs just a few miles away from Times Square. Imagine what would have happened if these losers had succeeded. Would the liberal elites admit their security failures, or would they sweep it under the rug to avoid “offending” anyone?
Americans should not have to wonder if the person next to them on the subway is plotting the next ISIS-inspired massacre. It’s time to demand answers from the politicians and bureaucrats who seem more interested in appeasing globalist agendas and radical apologists than keeping our families safe. How many close calls will it take before the left wakes up—or are they just too far gone?
