On Valentine’s Day back in 1989, while Americans were sharing chocolate and roses, Iran’s so-called “spiritual leader” was busy spewing hate and threats halfway across the world. That toxic poison still lingers today, and it’s even more dangerous than any missile or drone. The real weapon Iran wields isn’t some secret nuclear program or a hidden stash of rockets. It’s fanaticism—a brutal ideology that’s lasted far past the Ayatollahs and infected hearts and minds far beyond Iran’s borders.

Liberals will tell you if we just topple the Mullahs, peace will magically blossom across the Middle East. That’s naive, childish thinking. Ignoring the core problem—the radical Islamic ideology bred and spread by Iran’s regime—means the threat will stick around no matter who holds power in Tehran. You can overthrow all the dictators you want, but if the poisonous ideas remain, so does the danger.

For decades, Iran has exported not just terrorism, but a whole culture built on hatred of the West and fanatic devotion to medieval cruelty. Weak globalist politicians and leftwing so-called “experts” keep pretending these are just a handful of “bad apples.” That’s pure nonsense. Iran has spent generations training zealots to do their dirty work everywhere from Syria and Iraq to Europe and, yes, right here in America.

While Democrats wring their hands and issue endless “strongly worded statements,” radicals soak up the Iranian regime’s propaganda like sponges. International progressives love to denounce “Islamophobia,” but never seem to care about the Islamists who openly call for death and chaos in the name of their twisted beliefs. The double standard is so obvious you’d have to be willfully blind not to see it.

Even if Iran’s current leaders are swept away, their most lethal export—violence married to ideology—will outlast them. This is a fight that’s far bigger than sloganeering or empty photo-ops. America cannot afford to sit back while liberal elites pretend the threat doesn’t exist. When will the West learn that it’s not just the regime we have to defeat, but an entire worldview hell-bent on our destruction? Or would our so-called leaders rather just send flowers and hope for the best?
