Once again, the leftist circus in Washington, D.C. is on full display. The so-called watchdogs at the D.C. Bar have targeted DOJ attorney Ed Martin for speaking out. They are accusing him of “ethics violations” just because he dared to send a letter to Georgetown Law. You have to wonder—since when does voicing an opinion, or daring to stand up for truth, make you an enemy of the state?
The D.C. Bar’s Disciplinary Counsel, Hamilton “Phil” Fox III, is twisting the Constitution to attack Martin’s character. He claims Martin somehow violated the First and Fifth Amendments. Give me a break. Liberals love free speech when it suits them, but the moment a conservative speaks out, suddenly it’s an “ethics problem.” This is just another example of the left’s constant double standard—one rule for woke elites, another for the rest of America.
This is about more than Ed Martin. This is about silencing honest, patriotic Americans in our own institutions. Our so-called leaders want government officials to be quiet and obedient, especially when it comes to elite universities like Georgetown. God forbid anyone holds them accountable! When leftists break the rules, it’s shrugged off as “progress.” But when a conservative dares to fight back, the full force of the establishment comes crashing down.
Let’s not pretend this is about justice. It’s not. It’s about crushing dissent, plain and simple. The globalist legal cartel in D.C. is terrified of people who refuse to play by their anti-American playbook. They want a country where only their voices matter, and everyone else sits down and shuts up. That’s not the America our founders built.
Liberals claim to cherish the Constitution, but they ignore it whenever it threatens their power. So here’s a question: if Ed Martin’s crime was telling the truth, what does that say about the people running our government? Maybe it’s time folks asked who the real threat is—and if free speech is only allowed for the woke and well connected.
