Washington politicians form another commission while America drowns in debt who are they fooling

Washington politicians love their committees. Now, with America’s out-of-control debt soaring past $38 trillion, a so-called “bipartisan” group of senators wants to form yet another commission. They say it’s to “talk” about our nation’s spending addiction—as if jawboning and PowerPoint presentations will magically fix decades of reckless mismanagement.

Where were these so-called problem solvers when the Left was rubber-stamping trillions in wasteful spending? Where were these armchair fiscal hawks when liberal elites pushed Green New Deal giveaways, open border paydays, and billions for pet projects that line their friends’ pockets? America’s working class gets crushed under soaring prices, while a few swamp insiders sip their lattes and draft new “solutions.”

A commission is just a way for politicians to dodge real responsibility. It’s a tactic straight from the big government playbook: hold a few meetings, push out a glossy report, and then head for the nearest fundraiser. Washington insiders want Americans to think they’re doing something. But talk is cheap—and so, apparently, is our money when liberals are in charge.

This isn’t just incompetence—it’s hypocrisy. The very people who blew open the federal checkbook now claim they’re the ones who can fix it. They want to “unite” and “collaborate”—what that really means is more compromise with the status quo, more globalist spending, and more debt for your children and grandchildren.

America doesn’t need more toothless commissions. America needs leaders with a backbone, ones who cut waste, end handouts, and treat our national debt like the crisis it is. The clock is ticking, and the only thing these committees will produce is more hot air. Is anyone in D.C. actually serious about saving our future—or is it all just another show?
