The nation’s airports are turning into chaos zones, and we all have the politicians in Washington to thank for it. As travelers stand packed in endless lines, fuming and wasting precious hours, lawmakers sit comfortably in their taxpayer-funded offices. It’s been almost a month since the Department of Homeland Security lost its funding, and the American people are the ones paying the price. For all their talk, Congress hasn’t lifted a finger to get things moving. Instead, they’re passing blame and grandstanding on TV.
Let’s be real. This mess could have been avoided if politicians actually cared more about American security than about scoring political points. The left loves to spout off about “keeping people safe” and “serving the people,” but when it comes down to it, all they do is drag their feet. While they fiddle around, the system falls apart. The lines at airports keep growing. Hardworking Americans—families, workers, soldiers—are left stranded and frustrated. Why? Because our leaders are obsessed with their own power struggles and globalist priorities, not with serving this country.
It’s just more liberal incompetence on display. Year after year, Democrats and their establishment allies refuse to take border security seriously. Now, as DHS struggles without funding, the same people who created the crisis are whining about the consequences. Meanwhile, the average citizen suffers—missing flights, losing business, and waiting endlessly all because of bickering politicians who have never stood in one of those lines themselves.
What’s worse is the hypocrisy. Democrats want an open border, but then wring their hands about long waits at airports. They cry about how “unfair” life is, but won’t put their own comfort at risk. This isn’t leadership—it’s a circus. We see the results of their games every time Americans are stuck, angry, and helpless at the airport. The crisis doesn’t faze these elite lawmakers, who breeze through special entrances and VIP lounges. It’s regular people who are left behind.
Maybe it’s time for real Americans to ask: Who is Congress really serving? Because right now, it’s clear they’re not looking out for us. Until the politicians stop playing political football with our security and start listening to the people who elected them, America will keep paying the price—in wasted time, lost money, and growing anger. Is this really the best we can do?
