This week, we got another prime example when a CNN commentator decided to attack Pete Hegseth with a claim so off-the-wall, you’d think he was auditioning for a job at a leftist tabloid. The so-called “mainstream” media loves to pretend they care about facts, but apparently, truth is the first casualty when Democrats are in damage control mode.

Of course, Scott Jennings wasn’t having it. He had the guts to call out his own network, urging the internet to step up and fact-check this wild accusation. Finally, someone with a backbone! It’s downright embarrassing that such basic honesty is a headline, but that’s where we are—conservatives have to keep the media in check, since journalists sure won’t do it themselves.

The left’s desperation is showing, and it’s ugly. Liberals can’t win arguments on substance, so they resort to wild statements and character assassinations. Instead of debating policy, they pick up the same playbook: distort, distract, demonize. It’s the only way they can try to lift up their weak ideas—by dragging down their opponents with lies. All while pretending to be arbiters of truth.

At the heart of this mess, you see everything that’s rotten with today’s “woke” media. They’re more interested in protecting globalist interests and anti-American narratives than giving viewers a straight story. They trash patriots like Hegseth—people who actually served this country—while they cozy up on cable news sets, sipping lattes and parroting whatever nonsense the Democrat machine feeds them.

Enough is enough. Americans are tired of being lied to by smug elites who care more about their political team than about facts. If the left wants to debate real issues, conservatives are ready. But if all they offer is insane claims and media hacks playing defense, don’t be surprised when Americans tune them out for good. Isn’t it time we asked why the loudest voices calling for “truth” are always the first to run from it?
