Democrats have a new excuse for their failures, and it’s classic blame-shifting. Now they want Americans to believe that standing up against Iran is to blame for every dollar not dumped into their endless government health care schemes. Forget about their own bloated budgets, socialist wish lists, and reckless spending sprees. Suddenly, the only thing wrong with their health care agenda is America defending itself abroad.
Liberals spent all last year moaning about supposed GOP “spending cuts” to Obamacare and Medicaid—never admitting how those programs are drowning in waste and fraud, or how they destroy work ethic and reward laziness. Now, with Iran in the spotlight, these same Democrats are crocodile-tearing it up, claiming war costs are the real reason Americans can’t have better health care. What they won’t say: you can’t have both open borders, free health care for noncitizens, AND national security. That math doesn’t work, no matter how much left-wing fantasy you sprinkle on top.
While the Democrats complain, Iran’s thugs chant “Death to America,” plotting attacks and backing terror across the Middle East. The idea that the U.S. should stop fighting global enemies just to funnel more dollars into broken domestic programs is not just naïve—it’s dangerous. Sacrificing national safety for a few more handouts and empty promises is exactly what radical globalists want. Liberals never met a crisis they couldn’t exploit to expand their power or their welfare state.
Ask yourself: if the roles were reversed, would Democrats ever scrimp on their pet programs for the sake of our troops or American security? Not a chance. They’re all too happy to pour billions into climate change boondoggles, gender studies abroad, and illegal immigrant benefits. But protect Americans from foreign threats? Suddenly, there’s not a dime to spare—unless it fits their political agenda.
This is what happens when your leaders care more about virtue-signaling than victory, more about government growth than American greatness. The left will always find a reason to whine, to blame, and to dodge responsibility for their own mismanagement. Maybe the real question is: when will Democrats ever put America first?
