There’s nothing that exposes left-wing insanity like the way Democrats react when someone tries to do right by our troops. This week, the left lost their minds over something any sane American would celebrate—a group of service members enjoying steak and lobster. Yes, actual outrage because someone dared to boost troop morale with a good meal. Apparently, nothing drives liberals crazier than seeing hard-working military personnel get treated like the heroes they are.
Liberal pundits on CNN and elsewhere wasted no time crying about the supposed “extravagance” of giving our military men and women a taste of luxury. To them, steak and lobster is too much for the people defending this country. It’s almost as if the radical left thinks our troops should line up for cold gruel, while politicians in D.C. indulge themselves at five-star restaurants on the taxpayer’s dime. The hypocrisy is as thick as the steaks they wish our soldiers couldn’t have.
But a Marine veteran stepped up to shut down the keyboard critics. He reminded America that special meals like this mean so much to those far from home, putting their lives on the line. These aren’t just treats—they’re reminders that there’s a nation behind these brave men and women. The left wants us to believe that morale is just a side dish to their agenda, but any veteran will tell you: a hot meal, some real appreciation, can be the difference between feeling forgotten and knowing your sacrifice matters.
Liberals talk a big game about “supporting the troops”—as long as it comes in a bland, government-issued box. But spend a little extra to show gratitude, and suddenly, they’re up in arms. This is classic progressive nonsense: endless cash for bloated bureaucracy and globalist pet projects, but penny-pinching when it comes to the folks actually risking everything to keep us safe.
Why do Democrats want to strip away even the simple joys from the people who defend their right to whine on TV? Maybe it’s because deep down, they resent the values real Americans hold dear—pride, honor, sacrifice. If spoiling our troops with steak and lobster is controversial, maybe what this country really needs is a big, hearty serving of common sense.
